Meet our #KindGirl of the Month, Aissa Umaru, 24 year-old from Cameroon, Africa. Aissa came to Los Angeles from Atlanta, Georgia to dance turned beauty artist/model. Where did you grow up? I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia

Who is your Role Model and Why?
My dad, he worked so hard to provide for our family and I aspire to do the same
 
How would you define a Kind Girl? I’m very caring, I love to making people feel confident. Being caring is contagious in my opinion, if you show that to somebody then they are bound to share it with others and it causes an affect. At least that’s how my parents raised me and nothing makes me happier than seeing somebody happy. Other than Beyonce. 

Tell us about your dancing career and accomplishments and where you want to go next in your career. In my dancing career I started out as a competitive dancer. Once I graduated high school I was with a dance company. Through them I danced for big brands like Reebok. Then, I got signed to an agency and right after booked my first China tour, worked with artist like Remy Ma, Chris brown, Big Boi etc.  Now that I’m in my mid 20’s I have gotten to grow and become more than just a dancer. I started to pursue my dream which was to be in the beauty industry. 

 
What are you most passionate about? I’m passionate about beauty not only on the outside but inside. I want spread the love of beauty around the world. I don’t know of a specific nonprofit that does that. If there is one, I would love to work with somebody. But for now I’ll spread it through makeup artistry.  

What is your favorite subject in school? Math 
 
What is it like to live in Los Angeles? Expensive, haha! No but on a serious note, its been the most challenging experience I have endured in my life. Only, because I don’t have family here. I was forced to grow up pretty fast living out here. Being here has definitely taught me about myself and who I am as a young lady. I’m definitely stronger, wiser and smarter. 

 What's something most people don't know about you? 
I’m double jointed and super flexible

What is the funniest story you have since moving to LA?
The time my wig fell off my head and I just kept walking

Describe yourself in three words.
 goofy/weird, shy, sassy

What's your biggest fear?
Not living my best life and not being successful

If you could be anything in the world what would you be?
 BEYONCE

What super power would you choose to have?
Telekinesis  

What are your three favorite songs of the moment?
Barbie tingz (nikki minaj) Big Bank(YG) Yiruma(River flows in you) 

If you had to give your younger self advice what would you say?
Always trust your intuition and not to be scared  

What advice do you have to other girls wanting to move to Los Angeles?
I would save as much as you can, be ready for a big change especially for those coming from small towns and just enjoy every moment when you do live here.
