Fashion isn't perfect when it comes to pollution. We are working hard to ensure we manufacture all of our products in a way that respects life. We are doing this by minimizing our carbon footprint and waste.
At KINDKINIS we use minimal plastic when shipping and are working on recycled fabrics. We are also working hard to give a second life to materials that are not biodegradable and would otherwise end up in a landfill or the ocean. Our recycled fabrics are made from eco-friendly materials.
Our overall goal is to be as environmentally friendly as we can. To do this, we create our swimsuits from recycled rPET (Recycled polyester -Polyethylene terephthalate) plastic bottles. These bottles are first washed, then shredded and transformed into polyester for a traditional fiber process. This process allows us to reuse waste, reduce our carbon footprint, decrease CO2 emissions and reach our eco-friendly goal.
In addition, our fabric is resistant to chlorine, incredibly soft, and offers UV protection. We also use the same fabric for your Kind Bikini lining to make it as strong and durable as possible. This UPF 50 fabric blocks 98 percent of the sun's rays, thus significantly reducing your exposure risk. The material is then printed on using a sublimation process. This process is waterless, guaranteeing no chemical or dye run-off during printing.
