Here at KINDKINIS, we see how each of us has the power to make a difference. Fashion isn't perfect when it comes to pollution. We are working hard to ensure we manufacture all of our products in a way that respects life. We are doing this by minimizing our carbon footprint and waste by partnering with wearable collections.


Fashion & Pollution Facts

Fashion production makes up 10% of humanity's carbon emissions, dries up water sources, and pollutes rivers and streams. What's more, 85% of all textiles go to the dump each year. And washing some types of clothes sends thousands of bits of plastic into the ocean.

1. The volume of clothing Americans throw away each year has doubled in the last 20 years, from 7 million to 14 million tons (85% of all textiles go to the dump each year).

2. Textiles can take up to 200+ years to decompose in landfills

KindKinis x Wearable Collections

Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter to keep up with our upcoming events. We will be collecting all of your unwanted, out of style, unloved swimsuits, good condition or bad, we'll take them ALL. 

In return for your donation we will apply a 15% off your purchase. 

1. When we collect enough items, we will send it to Wearable Collections where they will, send them to their sorting facility. There they will check for quality and re-usability. What can be re-used will be destined for one of the many markets that they are partnered with to be upcycled and given a second life use. 

2. The items that are not rewearable will go to shredding partners. Depending on the material makeup of the goods they will be sorted and either shredded to be spun into new yarn or shredded and used for various fiber products.

As we produce new swimsuits we want to minimize our landfill pollution by collecting your old/out of style bikinis to ensure they are properly disposed and given a second life, we are designing with earth in mind.
